Major roadworks scheduled to take place over three months in Nottinghamshire villages

A series of roads in Nottinghamshire villages are going to be affected during three months of road works. On behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, Via East Midlands will be carrying out carriageway surfacing works from 7.30am to 5pm each day from Thursday, September 1 until Thursday, December 1.

These works will take place on Abbey Road and Vale Close in Eastwood, Dawson Close and Wyvern Close in Newthorpe, and Cromwell Street, Hampden Street and Portland Road in Giltbrook. As the road surfacing works are very dependent on the weather, the times that the work is being done may be changed with short notice during the three-month period.

Whilst these roadworks are taking place, there will be a temporary prohibition of driving on these roads, as well as a temporary prohibition of waiting, loading and unloading. There will be signs in place to inform people of alternative routes.
