A main road through Mapperley is set to close each night for resurfacing works for 10 days. From Monday (June 6) until Thursday, June 16, a stretch of Plains Road and Mapperley Plains will be closed from 8pm each night until 6am.
The closure is in place between Somersby Road and Spring Lane, the road which connects to Gedling Country Park. The works could cause some disruption to those travelling in the area.
NCT buses will also have to divert overnight. In a tweet, NCT said: "From 8pm each night, Sky Blue 46, 47 will divert via Somersby Road, Arno Vale Road, Ramsey Drive and Coppice Road in both directions."
Nearby residents have recently shared frustration over the closure of nearby Arnold Lane, under wider work to allow it to be realigned and linked onto the £49m Colliery Way – the new name for long-awaited Gedling Access Road.
