A major Gwent road was closed after a fire broke out on a Crumlin road on Tuesday afternoon. The A472 was closed in both directions after the fire service received reports of a fire on Hafodyrynys Road.
Crews from five fire stations attended the scene to tackle the fire after receiving reports at 1.30pm. Smoke was pictured billowing from a car wash at an old petrol station in Hafodyrynys, the South Wales Argus reported. The road has now re-opened to cars, however it caused slow traffic due to the incident.
