A MAJOR retailer with several stores across Scotland is lining up administrators, reports Sky News.
It is believed that stationery chain Paperchase is searching for a new buyer and has put a professional services firm on standby to handle a potential insolvency.
The retailer has stores across the country including in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Kirkcaldy and Dundee.
A brand-new store opened on Byres Road in Glasgow's West End in December 2022.
Sky News reports that sources say Paperchase is continuing to seek a solvent rescue deal.
In January 2021, Paperchase secured a rescue deal which preserved around 1000 jobs and the majority of stores after tumbling into administration.
