Major jobs available in Ireland right now including at Brown Thomas, Aldi and Huawei

Several companies around Ireland are looking for staff to fill hundreds of roles.

Irish owned company Entegro will be recruiting staff with all levels of experience for jobs ranging from fibre design engineers to field technicians.

Some of the roles up for grabs include fibre splicing, testing and civil experience roles that will be located at the company’s Baldonnell base in Dublin.

However, not all roles will be based in Dublin, with some based at the Kilkenny HQ.

The international telecoms company is running its biggest recruitment drive to date.

According to Silicon Republic, its fixed network services contracts are worth more than €1bn, and National Broadband Ireland, Virgin Media Ireland, SIRO and more.

The week-long national recruitment drive will start on Monday 24 October at the Maldron Hotel in Portlaoise, before moving on to other locations across the country.

On Tuesday 25 October, it will be in The Dolmen Hotel in Carlow, then Maynooth’s Glenroyal Hotel, followed by Glenview in Wicklow on 27 October.

It will finish up at the Maldron in Newlands Cross on Friday, 28 October, Silicon Republic reports.

Huawei

Huawei is expanding its presence in Ireland with the launch of its first European cloud centre in Dublin.

The Chinese technology giant is to create 200 jobs and is investing €150m in the new Dublin cloud hub.

The roles will include sales, pre-sales, legal, tax, operational, management and research positions.

The announcement was made at Huawei’s Connect event in Paris today (18 October).

Huawei said the Dublin hub will serve customers across Europe and will help Irish enterprises to expand into new global markets, by providing a secure, compliant, innovative, and sustainable cloud platform for growth and development.

ALDI

One of Ireland’s biggest retails has launched a recruitment drive and is offering over 450 jobs across it’s 153 Irish stores.

The company noted that it is recruiting for store assistants, including 330 permanent positions and 120 fixed-term contract positions.

Recruitment has begun and the company says it is keen to fill all positions as soon as possible as it continues to open new stores.

Vacancies include both roles at new stores and filling existing vacancies.

Fidelity Investments

Fidelity Investments is expanding its presence in Ireland with an additional 300 full-time jobs across its Dublin and Galway offices.

The majority of these roles will be based in Galway, while 100 jobs will be located in Dublin.

The jobs will be mainly in its technology team with a number of business operation roles in their Dublin office.

eBay

eBay is hiring a Work From Home Customer Service - Trust Teammate.

The role requires you to be eligible to work full-time, and you must be a resident of the Republic of Ireland.

The candidate must be available for shift work (e.g., early mornings, late evenings and weekends).

Brown Thomas and Arnotts

Brown Thomas and Arnott's are looking for a mix of full-time staff and seasonal Christmas staff for their stores in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.

There are over hundred roles available ranging from Retail Associate, Barista, Buying and Merchandising assistants, and Make Up artists.

Role: Customer Service Officer

Salary (€37,170 - €46,462 (DOE) | Dublin City/Hybrid | 1 year FTC

As Customer Service Officer you will join a leading Irish semi-state utility company who are responsible for the delivery and maintenance of utilities across Ireland.
