Major Emmerdale death rumoured in heartbreaking scenes that will 'make you cry'

An Emmerdale writer has given fans a little hint of what to expect from the soap’s special flash-forward week.

It looks like being a dramatic week of action in the ITV soap. There's been major hints of a death, with several stunts taking place - including a possible shooting, a car wreck, a scary showdown and a body in the woods.

According to soap writer Sharon Marshall, one of the big episodes will make viewers cry. Appearing on This Morning, Sharon said: "A flashforward opens this special week of episodes. In the gloom we see a misty graveyard with an open grave.

"We see and hear the slamming of an iron police cell door and we hear a gunshot ringing out in the woods before panning up to see a smoking crumpled car steaming in the gloom having just had a terrible accident… But who is inside and what does it all mean?

"In this week of time continuous episodes there are brief glimpses (flashforwards) of future scenes at the start of each showing and soon it will all become clear..."

She then teased: "People have read it and they said it's amazing, and one of the episodes apparently makes you cry."
