A major road on the outskirts of Edinburgh is currently closed following a two-vehicle collision.
The A71 near the Dalmahoy junction is closed due to a smash which took place shortly after 7am on Monday morning, March 6. Traffic, including several Lothian Bus services, are currently being diverted from the scene.
Both the X27 and X28 are affected by the closure. A service alert on the Lothian Buses website reads: "Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve part of A71 and are instead diverted via Bonnington Road, Cliffton Road, Newbridge, A8 and A720 in both directions until further notice."

Edinburgh Travel News also confirmed the closure via Twitter, warning motorists in the area to expect hefty delays on Monday morning between West Lothian and Edinburgh.
They added: "A71 is closed now between Burnwynd and Dalmahoy due to this RTC. Expect extra traffic and delays on alternative routes, esp. A70 corridor and Long Dalmahoy Road."
It is currently unclear whether there has been any injuries. Police confirmed that road closures are currently in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : Around 7.10am on Monday, 6 March, 2023 we received a report of a crash involving two vehicles. Road closures were in place."
