A major road in Edinburgh has been closed off as emergency services deal with an ongoing incident.
On Wednesday February 15, police have taped off Royal Terrace after receiving reports of a fire as three appliances and a height appliance from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance at a building in the street.
People in nearby properties have been evacuated as a precaution.
Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "Three appliances are in attendance along with one height appliance on Royal Terrace due to an ongoing incident."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said : “Around 4.15pm on Wednesday, 15 February, 2023 we were called to report of a fire on Royal Terrace, Edinburgh.
“Officers attended to assist Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with local road closures.
“An evacuation of a number of properties has been undertaken as a precaution.”
Police and SFRS are currently in attendance.
The AUGB Edinburgh the Ukrainian Community Centre have announced that the Edinburgh Folk Club class is cancelled this evening. While other classes are planned to go ahead, they said they will update their social media profiles closer to the time.
