Major discounts in some of Dublin's best restaurants this week

Dining Week has kicked off in Ireland and allows diners to enjoy a 25% discount at some of Dublin's best restaurants.

The foodie celebration, which happens from now until April 28, is taking place to mark the reopening of the hospitality sector this year and to support the industry as well as charity.

Customers who book their table at one of the city's best eateries through diningweek.ie will be able to avail of the discount with €1 of the booking fee being donated to St Vincent de Paul.

The bookings are available for between two and eight people at some of the most popular foodie spots in the capital.

Some of the Dublin restaurants taking part include Bobo's on Abbey Street, Beef & Lobster on Parliament Street, KOH Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge on Millennium Walkway, Platform 61 on South William Street and Marrakesh by Mindo on Capel Street.

The restaurants that can be booked as part of Dining Week offer up a wide range of cuisines including Irish, Italian, American and Thai. To view the full list of restaurants taking part in Dining Week, head to diningweek.ie.

James Lenehan of EarlyTable said: "It’s been a long and difficult two years for our hospitality industry, and we hope that DiningWeek is the kickstart that’s needed now.

"A small booking fee is required on the EarlyTable platform, but for DiningWeek, we decided to donate the fee to St Vincent de Paul given the great work they are doing to support the hosting of Ukrainian refugees."

Meanwhile Adrian Cummins of the Restaurants Association of Ireland said: "We are delighted to introduce Dining Week and see it as an ongoing initiative that will help support the restaurant industry. Dining Week will encourage patrons to re-engage with local eateries and celebrate quality food and hospitality across Ireland."

Discounts are also available at restaurants in other location around Ireland including Cork, Galway, Limerick, Donegal and Kilkenny.
