Major Celtic injury fear as Schmeichel screams in pain during Denmark tie

Celtic face a nervy wait to discover the extent of an injury to Kasper Schmeichel.

The goalkeeper suffered a knock in Denmark's extra-time loss to Portugal in the Nations League on Sunday.

Schmeichel, wearing the armband for his country, was in clear discomfort after a problem with his left arm during extra-time of the match.

The Celtic No1 appeared to suffer the injury as he attempted to snatch the ball form Diogo Jota's feet in extra-time.

The forward rounded Schmeichel and scored but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Schmeichel, though, was feeling the effects from his efforts to deny Jota as he clutched his arm before receiving treatment from medical staff.
