A major Ayrshire road has been closed in both directions after a tanker flipped this afternoon.
The A71 between Kilmarnock's Moorfield Roundabout and Dreghorn's Corsehill Mount Roundabout has been shut by police.
The closure has sparked huge delays through Crosshouse, Springside and Dreghorn, drivers say.
Police have urged motorists to avoid the area.
Ayrshire Police Division posted on Facebook: "The A71 is currently closed at the Moorfield Roundabout, Kilmarnock due to an overturned lorry.
"Please avoid the area and use alternative routes at this time."
Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: "A71 in both directions closed, queueing traffic due to overturned tanker from B730 (Corsehill Mount roundabout, Dreghorn ) to B7064 (Moorfield roundabout, Kilmarnock ).
"Congestion to B7081 Kilmarnock road as traffic diverts. Road closed just before 16:30, affecting traffic between Irvine and Kilmarnock."
