A major Ayrshire road has been shut down this morning after a crash involving one car.
Emergency services have raced to the A77 near Kirkoswald following the smash around 9.30am.
Police have closed the carriageway in both directions between Maybole and Turnberry as a result of the collision.
Drivers have been diverted along local routes.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9am on Wednesday, December 28, officers were called to a report of a single vehicle crash on the A77 near Turnberry.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed.”
