SEVERAL major airlines will run extra flights to and from Glasgow Airport for Rangers Europa League matches.
The Glasgow side will take on Athletic Bilbao at Ibrox on Thursday, April 10, as part of the competition.
They will then play the Spanish side again in Bilbao, Spain, on Thursday, April 17.
Ahead of the matches, Glasgow Airport said they are "ready to welcome" Athletic Bilbao fans before the game at Ibrox this week.
The travel hub also revealed multiple airlines are putting on charters for each leg of the ties from the airport.
Jet2, TUI, and Vueling Airlines are among some of the 20 charter flights being serviced over the next week.
It is expected that 1300 travelling Athletic Bilbao fans could arrive at Glasgow Airport for the first leg on April 10, with more than 2100 Rangers fans expected to travel for the return leg on April 17.
Meanwhile, loads more fans of both teams could arrive and depart from Glasgow Airport through various other destinations available.
Ronald Leitch, Chief Operating Officer of AGS Airports, which owns and operates Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports, said: “We have several airlines putting on charter flights with a huge demand for the clashes.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the Athletic Bilbao fans to the city in the coming days and will be supporting the Rangers fans going to the away leg next week.
“For home fans needing some football merchandise before they jet off to the game, our Rangers store in the terminal will be open.”
It comes after Glasgow Airport said it was making major changes to its security area.
The travel hub revealed they are undertaking a multi-million-pound investment in their security hall and are currently in the process of installing "state-of-the-art" Next Generation Security Checkpoints (NGSC) scanners.
The airport said the new scanners represent the "biggest ever" upgrade to its security process.
