Maisie Smith asked 'is that a cardigan' as she ditches trousers in string of Paris snaps

Maisie Smith had fans flooding her with comments as she ditched her trousers and simply posed in a cardigan for a string of gorgeous snaps in Paris. The former EastEnders actress posed in front of the Eiffel Tower on her French getaway and uploaded some of the pics to her Instagram profile.

Maisie, who is famed for playing Tiffany Butcher in the BBC One soap, was joined by her sister Scarlett on the trip as they jetted off to Paris for a weekend away. And during her time away, the 21-year-old kept things stylish as she sported a £850 Burberry cardigan which she rocked with a matching £500 handbag.

She paired her check-patterning outfit, that boasted a plunging neckline, with a pair of sheer tights and black chunky boots before she accessorised with a pearl choker. Maisie, who starred in Strictly Come Dancing in 2020, grinned as she posed for the camera as the French landmark dazzled with lights behind her.

"Pardon my French," she cheekily captioned the post which was soon being flooded with comments. Maisie's The Wanted star boyfriend Max George said: "Yep.." alongside a love heart eyes and red heart emoji.

Earlier this month, Maise and her beau Max, 34, ignored backlash to their 'pregnancy' joke as they enjoyed a break in Abu Dhabi. The couple, who first met on Strictly Come Dancing before love blossomed last year two years later, were enjoying precious time together after Maisie finished her first big gig since quitting EastEnders.

Last month, the former soap star gave her final bows on stage in Strictly Ballroom: The Musical, as The Wanted star Max proudly supported his girlfriend in the audience. And after her last show in the reimagining of the Baz Luhrmann nineties film, the pair packed their bags and hit the airport as they ditched Manchester for the sun.

However, while away, Maisie and Max got their fans' tongues wagging when they teased "exciting news" as they shared a snap from their holiday. It showed them posing together as Maisie beamed while wearing a figure-hugging pink dress and held her tummy with a love heart obscuring her middle in the picture.

"We've got some really exciting news," Maisie wrote on her Instagram Stories. In the picture Max gazed down with his hand over his mouth as if staring in amazement. She then shared the same picture for a big reveal as she removed the heart. "I just had the best five course meal of my life," she said.

Over on his Instagram Stories Max expanded on what had happened as she shared a video of sizzling steak. "We just ate 10 dinners," he said. And with the same picture of himself and his girlfriend he shouted in his caption: "LOOK AT THAT LOVELY BELLY."

But some were left unimpressed by the prank. @steffxrs tweeted: "@maisie_smith_ @MaxGeorge Pregnancy jokes are not, and never will be funny... Please do better." @hanjmason said: "@MaxGeorge @maisie_smith_ Don’t think this is something either of you should be joking about tbh."
