A main road next to Anfield stadium was closed following a crash.
Police were called to Walton Breck Road today, Thursday, at around 7.15am to reports of a crash between a Range Rover and a Dacia. Officers blocked the road to traffic while they dealt with the incident.
A number of buses were also diverted, including the Stagecoach 17 service. This was diverted via Priory Road and Breck Road. Arriva North West's service 26 was also diverted via St Domingo Road, Everton Road, West Derby Road and Sheil Road.

The service 27 was diverted via West Derby Road, Boundary Lane, Breckfield Road, Robson Street and Everton Valley. When the ECHO arrived at the scene at around 8.45am the road had been cleared and one police car remained at the scene.
Damage could be seen on both cars and airbags from the Dacia had been inflated. The extent of injuries is not currently known.
