NEW DELHI: Industrialist Anand Mahindra said on Thursday that his and former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's paths were always meant to cross as he welcomed the wicket-keeper batter into his 'family'.
#WelcomeMahi was trending on the social media platform X after it was announced that Dhoni will endorse the tractor brand - Swaraj Tractors.
Quoting the welcome message for Dhoni from Swaraj Tractors, owner Anand Mahindra, who is very active on social media, explained why it was all meant to be.
"Mahi and Mahindra, when it’s already in the name, it means our paths were always meant to cross! Join me as we #WelcomeMahi to the Swaraj family," Mahindra posted on X.
Dhoni, who retired from international cricket three years back, is one of the most adored cricketers around and has a huge fan following.
A tractor owner himself, Dhoni, though not active on social media, found a way to be the trending topic now and then with his viral videos shared by fans and friends. Even his driving a tractor in his Ranchi farm went viral a few months back.
