Mumbai: Counting of votes in Maharashtra Assenbly polls began at 8 am on Saturday, with the trends showing that Mahayuti alliance is leading in 221 seats while Maha Vikas Aghadi is ahead in 55 seats.
The elections for 288-member state assembly was held on November 20, with a turnout of over 66 percent, surpassing the 61 percent recorded in the 2019 elections.
