
A number of artists have been added to Little Simz’ Meltdown festival, setting the stage for an epic music event taking place across London venues this summer.
The Southbank Centre confirmed this week that GRAMMY-nominated R&B icon Mahalia will take to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall, welcoming the start of the 30th anniversary of the coveted arts event.
Between June 12 and June 22, London will be brought to life with the sounds of a number of leading artists as the world’s longest-running artist-curated music festival kicks into gear.
Influential Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage, BADBADNOTGOOD, James Blake, and saxophonist Nubya Garcia have also been announced among the latest musicians set to perform.
MEGA, aka Megaishername, and rising star Jon Poppii will also descend upon the Queen Elizabeth Hall, while Kara Jackson will be showing off her alt-country talents from the Purcell Room.

Speaking about the upcoming festival, Little Simz branded this year’s cohort of artists as ‘incredible’, adding that she looked forward to seeing everyone there.
“My team and I have prepared eleven days of art, music, workshops and more” she said.
“So many incredible artists have curated this festival so it's a true honour to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I'll see you there.”
Taking place over two weeks this June, London’s Meltdown Festival will feature a mix of music, art, workshops, and more at the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and other parts of the Southbank Centre.
Meltdown Festival organisers are also expected to release the details of a free cultural programme that will take place throughout the festival as we near the event.
The latest lineup comes just under two weeks after the first musicians were unveiled for this year’s festival, including Jon Batiste, Sasha Keable, and Yukimi from Little Dragon.

Organised by Little Simz, the Islington-born star is playing a key role in selecting other artists and creating themes for this year’s festival. She will also perform at Meltdown on June 22 at the Royal Festival Hall.
Each year, Meltdown invites a stellar cohort of artists to curate the music event. Previous instalments have seen stars like Christine and the Queens, MIA, David Bowie, Nile Rodgers, and Grace Jones coordinate the music event. take the lead.
