Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has delivered mixed news on the selection front as Manchester United continue to prepare for their Premier League contest against Brighton on Saturday afternoon (5.30pm). Harry Maguire is back in training and could feature against the Seagulls.
However, there are two fresh setbacks for United before their long, long trip south, with Marcus Rashford and Eric Bailly (back) on the treatment table. Bailly does have a chance to recover in time, but England forward Rashford has been ruled out due to bronchitis.
During his pre-match press conference, Rangnick shared an update on those players and more as Paul Pogba (calf), meanwhile, addressed his own recovery on social media. Pogba has stepped up his training - but only has two more opportunities for a United farewell. Here is the current state of play with injuries.

Harry Maguire
Injury: Knee
Return date: May 7 vs Brighton (A)
What Rangnick has said: "Harry is back in training, he has trained the whole week since the second day after the Brentford game so he will be available for tomorrow and part of the group. This [his potential return] is a decision I have to make after training. I don't want to tell our opponents the line-up to start."
Eric Bailly
Injury: Back
Possible return date: May 7 vs Brighton
What Rangnick has said: "We have a question mark on Eric Bailly - as he called the doctor this morning and had some back problems and he is being checked right now. We will have to see if he will be able to train afterwards."
Luke Shaw
Injury: Leg
Return date: TBC
What Rangnick has said: "We had to take him off at half-time [against Leicester] as he's having problems with his leg where had an operation back in 2015. Yeah, the doctor told me that they decided to remove the metal thing in his leg, there are two bolts that need to be removed and this will happen tomorrow [April 9] and that means he will be out for the next two or three weeks."
Paul Pogba
Injury: Calf
Return date: TBC
What Rangnick has said: "He seems to have problems with his calf. He won't be available for tomorrow [May 2] and most likely not for the upcoming games."
Jadon Sancho
Injury: n/a (tonsillitis)
Return date: TBC
What Rangnick has said: "As it seems, Jadon might be out for the rest of the season with this tonsillitis, so he will most likely be not available [against Brighton]. He definitely has an inflammation on his tonsils and he also had some high temperatures. He almost certainly won't be available for the next couple of games."
Marcus Rashford
Injury: n/a (bronchitis)
Return date: TBC
What Rangnick has said: "Marcus Rashford will be missing as he's got bronchitis with a high temperature - so he won't be able to be part of the group."
