A SCOTTISH castle overlooking its own private islands has hit the market for around £2.5 million.
Glenborrodale Castle dates back to 1902 and overlooks Loch Sunart, letting people enjoy views of the islands of Risga, Carna and Oronsay.
The castle currently serves as a hotel/guesthouse.
Property agent Savills is handling the sale and said that the castle sits on 134 acres in a quiet location.
There is also a pond to the south of the castle and its terraces near the south boundary of the grounds.
The agent said: “It goes without saying that Glenborrodale Castle is set in quite a magical location and with the additional benefits of the islands and outbuildings – the opportunities this property presents are endless.”
Also located on the site are the former Coach House and the Gate Lodge, which have been divided into smaller apartments.
Additionally, the property comes with its own private islands - Risga at 30 acres and Eileam am Feidh at 13 acres.
Elsewhere, another outbuilding is split into two areas, with one currently being used as a gym and the other as a sauna and shower room.
The castle itself includes sixteen bedrooms with additional staff accommodation and there is also a boathouse and jetty.
