'Magical' fridge in Scotland found 'in the middle of nowhere' full of cakes

A Scottish TikTok user has shared a video of a "magical" fridge that they found "in the middle of nowhere".

Lisa, who posts on the video sharing platform under the username abandoned.scotland, was visiting Neist Point on the Isle of Skye when she discovered the unique fridge. Though from the outside, it looks like an unassuming wooden box, the inside includes a number of tasty treats.

The fridge is situated near the Neist Point Cliff Lighthouse Viewpoint on the most westerly point of Skye. Stocking a variety of eggs, cakes, pies, and jams, Lisa suggested in the clip that visitors head there and "grab a cake".

Cake fridges and honesty boxes are relatively common in more rural areas of Scotland, wherein people leave products such as eggs and produce alongside a coin jar or money box. The expectation is that if you take something from the box, then you leave behind some money.

In the TikTok video, items such as flapjacks, chocolate cakes, and marmalades can be seen in the fridge. Each one is covered in a sticker describing what it is, as well as showing its price so that visitors know how much money to leave behind.

The caption in the video states: "Check out this magical place. If you're heading to Neist Point be sure to stop here and grab a cake."

Since being posted, the clip has been viewed more than 125,000 times, and has received over 6,000 likes. Many TikTok users also took to the comments to share their thoughts on the unique fridge.

"What a magical cabinet," one wrote, while a second echoed: "Beautiful."
