It’s getting hot in here. Magic Mike Live opens in the West End this month and we’ve got the lowdown on the show.
Channing Tatum’s Las Vegas bonanza is grinding its way into London, so get ready to swoon.
Based on films Magic Mike, which is itself inspired by Tatum’s experiences as a teenage stripper, and Magic Mike XXL, the show combines dance, acrobatics, aerials and, of course, stripping. The theatre has been converted into an immersive, 360 degree club so you can get fully involved.
When and where is it?
The show opens on November 10 at the Hippodrome Casino’s theatre and is currently booking until October 2019.
How do I get tickets?
Due to the majority of shows selling out within hours, a further 10,000 tickets have been released to shows throughout the run. Head to magicmikelondon.co.uk to book. There are limited tickets from November, but best availability is January 15-27 as a further 20 performances were added, and May onwards. Tickets start from £29.
Will Channing Tatum be in the show?
There's no official word yet on whether Tatum will be joining the show in London, but he *did* tell the Standard earlier this year that he would "definitely" make an appearance - once he's "back in shape". Fingers crossed!
Can I meet the dancers?
You most certainly can. VIP packages include a meet and greet and photo op with the cast straight after the show. There’s also the chance you’ll get pulled up on-stage if you're near the front, a chance that increases if you’re the honoured guest in a birthday or hen party group – just let them know when you’re booking.
