England fans have put a lot of faith in Marcus Smith as the long-term heir to current captain Owen Farrell and have been repaid for this as the 23-year-old scored for the Red Rose in the second-half against Scotland on Saturday.
The Harlequins man scored all of England's first 14 points and finally gave the visitors the lead after a difficult first-half and fans have had their say on social media.
Smith's try was well-worked in tandem with experienced scrum-half Ben Youngs but it must not be understated how much work had to be done by Smith and fans were lauding their new hero.
Smith has only played for England since last summer's internationals at Twickenham and this is is his first test outside of Twickenham - he was withdrawn on 65 minutes, replaced by the experienced George Ford.
