Married At First Sight UK viewers have gushed over Whitney during the reunion episode, as she expressed signs of emotion following their split from Matt Murray.
It was confirmed that the couple had decided to go their separate ways after causing quite a stir when they first got with one another.
Initially, Whitney and Matt were married to other people but they had no romantic spark and they later discovered that they were attracted to each other.
Sadly, things didn't work out but during the final episode of the explosive season, Whitney burst into tears as she discussed the breakdown of their romance.
"I just want you to be whole," an emotional Whitney said to Matt as she burst into tears while adding: "I'm going to be here, no matter what."
"As difficult as it must have been for you, I appreciate you being there, in those sticky and difficult moments that I've had" responded Matt.
Visibly emotional, Whitney was consoled by Matt as their co-stars revealed there was still "so much love" between the pair.
After the emotional scene, fans flocked to social media to console Whitney, while also praising her – with one tweeting: "Whitney looked so sad when they said Matt was going I actually feel slightly bad for her #MAFSUK."
"Whitney has grown so much through this experiment. She seems like a different person. Feel so sorry for her as it seemed her and Matt's relationship was real and the love was still there #mafsuk," said another.
Before a third went on to tweet: "Sounds like it's not completely over between Matt and Whitney. I think they'll be friends at the very least but both carry a lot of trauma and need to heal from previous life events. And gracious words from Gemma #MAFSUK."
"Whitney has come a long way. She's learnt to actually feel and not fall apart. To be vulnerable and okay with it. #MAFSUK," penned another.
Someone else typed: "Matt and Whitney have truly fallen for one another. But you can tell that they are having personal battles with themselves, which they don't want to share with the 'experts' #MAFSUK."
After just one week after dating one another, Whitney and Matt declared they were in love with one another, but she ultimately walked into the reunion alone.
Whitney explained that it was the long distance which led to their split but also added she had "cut and run too many times", before going on to say: "I'm never going to regret anything that we went through, I still have love for Matthew for sure."
