Married at First Sight UK (MAFS UK) stars Dan Mckee and Matt Jameson have announced that they have decided to split up after two years together.
Dan, 28, and Matt, 40, were matched up on the sixth series of the popular E4 show, which was broadcast last year. They made history by being the first same-sex pairing on it.
They developed a relationship after meeting at their own 'wedding'. Following the experiment, they chose to stay together and Matt moved to Dan's native Northern Ireland.
It's however been announced that they have now decided to separate. They shared the news in a joint post on Instagram this evening, which included a photo of them.
Addressing their followers, they wrote in a joint statement that was part of the post: "As you all know, we have been on an incredible adventure together the last two years.
"We have given ourselves every opportunity to make things work as a couple, but over the last few months we have realised that we are actually better as friends."
"Break ups are never easy, even when amicable, but we can't thank you enough for your support and kindness following our journey together," they continued in the post.

Dan and Matt further wrote: "There's nothing but love and good energy between us, and we feel very lucky to have found each other in our lives. Just sadly not as a couple!"
They concluded the post by saying they would support each other moving forward. They said: "Although we are parting ways, we will always continue to support one another".
The former couple's post prompted well-wishes on social media this evening. Some of their followers expressed sadness over the news, like a few fellow MAFS UK alumni.
Nikita Jasmine, 28, said that it was "very sad news". Marilyse Corrigan, 38, expressed a similar sentiment but said that they would have "the best memories to treasure".
Amy Christophers, 36 – who like Nikita and Marilyse had appeared alongside Dan and Matt on the show last year – offered them support as part of her response.
The show's relationship expert Paul C. Brunson, 48, also reacted. He wrote: "I loved you both before you met, loved you while you were together and I will love you apart".
