Married At First Sight UK star Adrian Sanderson has broken his silence to thank fans for their support after his husband Thomas Hartley decided to split – sparking them to leave the show.
After failing to get intimate with husband Thomas during the experiment, the mental health care assistant decided to leave the show and split – announcing the decision as a couple at the final dinner party.
Thomas shared his decision in an emotional conversation and headed back into the dinner party, where Adrian stood up and said: "Guys is it alright if I just grab everyone's attention for a second?
"I would like to make a bit of an announcement that me and Thomas just went outside and we had a chat and after making a phenomenal journey...
"And, after coming from hell on earth with this chap and to the most amazing place where I actually adore this man and everything about him, we have decided that we will not be making it to the final vows and we will be..."
Thomas then interjected: "Bowing out gracefully – with love and with the most beautiful man that I would never have asked for anything else in this experience for."
The mental health care assistant went on: "Thank you everyone for you input and output and whatever. We're going to be best friends forever but we're just not going to be husbands forever, that's all."
As the tear-jerking scenes aired, many took to Adrian's Instagram comments to share supportive messages.
One wrote: "Good luck in finding the right person Adrian, you deserve only the best" followed by a red heart emoji.
While another said: "I'm gutted for you and Tom but I sincerely hope you can stay friends. Saying that I hope you find true love with someone who will cherish you with all their heart... You deserve the best".
"I hope things can work for you and tom even you just stay friends . Tom is a diva with a huge heart and you Adrian are amazing xxx," a third penned.
Following the support from viewers, Adrian tweeted: "Can I just say thank you so much for the love! It’s been a phenomenal journey and I have no words to really express how grateful I feel for it".
After the episode, Adrian hosted an Instagram live, in which he welcomed his mum onto the live stream.
Sharing her verdict on her son's appearance on MAFS, she said: "It's an experience.
"Let's be honest, it's an experience. I'm upset I couldn't be there to support you. But I've loved watching everything. Everyone has been so good, everyone has their own opinions on everything. But, you know, what can I say it's a life changing experience."
Adrian's mum added that she "loved" watching the series and added: "The tantrums, the drama, the good points, the fun...
"I must admit I even do love some of Thomas' one-liners."
