Married at First Sight fans believe they have worked out contestants Matt Murray and Whitney Hughes' ‘plan’ on the E4 show following their loved-up display during Thursday's episode.
The final commitment ceremony saw new couple Matt and Whitney gush about their romance to the relationship experts, as their sceptical co-stars looked on.
Sitting on the sofa, the pair put on a cosy display and gazed into each other's eyes, before Whitney told the group: “I didn't come into this thinking that I would be sat on a couch saying I love a man. Every day just gets better and better and happier and happier.”
Matt added: “I've allowed myself to become more vulnerable thank you to this process. This experiment did its job in my eyes.”
Speaking during a side interview, Whitney continued gushing: “You know when you're in school and you fancy someone. That's how I feel. Like it's embarrassing but it's so nice.”
The 32-year-old chimed: "It's happening really well. It's happening really fast, and I love this girl.” Whitney then murmured: “I love you too.”
However, Married at First Sight viewers at home weren't convinced by their PDA-filled display, taking to social media with theories that they're only acting this way because they want to remain in the experiment.
"#MAFSUK Looking sooo fake again! Whitney like bad actress reading lines badly off her script!!!! The desperation to stay on the show fake relationship plan still in action," said one user.
A second added: "Whitney and Matt don’t care for the essence of the experiment and purely are in it for clout because they could’ve pursued whatever they wanted on the outside without judgement from the other couples and experts."
While many have deterred that their relationship is purely based on "lust" instead of love.
"I'm sorry but this is lust, if anything at all. Never seen such bs love in all my life #MAFSUK," claimed one.
Another penned: "@MAFSUK so when are the experts going to say to Matt & Whitney it’s a week! It’s not love it’s lust?…"
"Please experts tell them the difference between love and lust," echoed a fourth.
While someone else shared: "They actually make an ok match but they're not in love, they're in lust and a state of *prove everyone wrong* #MAFSUK."
