Jamie Marinos, the Married At First Sight bride who kept us entertained with her sharp wit and unapologetic honesty, is officially embracing her “hot girl single era”.
After her split from on-screen husband Dave Hand, Jamie is ready to move on — and she’s not shy about it. In fact, she’s already got her eye on a potential flirtationship with a fellow MAFS groom.
Jamie didn’t hold back when asked how she’s feeling now that the show has wrapped. Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV, Jamie confimred that she is no longer in contact with ‘ex-husband’ Dave.
“I’ve been in my hot girl single era,” she declared. And honestly, we love that for her.
After a dry spell in the romance department (she admitted to keeping things low-key during the airing of the show to avoid ruining her and Dave’s outcome), Jamie is finally ready to dive back into the dating pool. “I’m so keen to eventually get back out there and have flirtationships again,” she said, adding, “I just want a good flirt.”
And if you’re wondering whether Jamie’s DMs are open, wonder no more. “My DMs are back,” she joked. “Please do slide in — I’m single now.”
She also clarified that she will in fact only have access to her social media accounts in May, but after that DM away people!
Speaking of potential lovers, Jamie has been featured in TikToks with MAFS groom Eliot Donovan and they have simply been breaking the internet IMO.
Fans are shipping them, and Jamie isn’t exactly denying the possibility of sparks flying. “Elliot and I were actually quite good friends in the experiment,” she explained. “Since then, he’s been such a good support person — a friend.”
Jamie hinted that their friendship might be heading into flirty territory now that they’re both single. It’s even getting a little ~ “flirty-flirty” ~ now that they’re both single, she said and she’s open to a date.
Of course, there’s one small logistical issue — they live in different states. But Jamie has a solution: “Someone’s gotta do a paid collab so I can fly to the Gold Coast,” she joked.

While romance might be on the horizon for Jamie, she’s also leaning heavily on her friendships from the show. She described Awhina Rutene as her “little bestie” and revealed they talk daily about everything — from their shared struggles during filming to their mutual determination to reclaim their shine post-show. “Awhina and I definitely feel very similar things,” Jamie said.
“For us, it was a hard watch back because we didn’t like seeing ourselves so sad and lose our shine.”
Jamie also shared how supportive the rest of her cast mates have been since filming ended: “Tony [Mojanovski] will call me and check in if there’s been a hard episode; Elliot will message me if it’s been a hard episode.”
What’s next for Jamie?
As much as Jamie loved being on TV — or, as she puts it, “I think my one-liners need to keep on keeping on” — she’s not sure another stint on MAFS is in the cards.
“I kind of understand the kind of men they pick for the show,” she said bluntly.
“Don’t think that’s the one I want to settle down with.”
Instead, Jamie is focusing on ramping up her social media presence with a strong emphasis on female empowerment. “Any bish who comes onto my profile is gonna leave empowered,” she promised.
She also hasn’t ruled out hosting or appearing on other reality shows — just don’t expect to see her roughing it on Survivor. “Wogs don’t belong in the wild,” she said.
“I need my sleep, my food, and electricity.”
