Polarising Married At First Sight (MAFS) bride Jacqueline ‘Jacqui’ Burfoot has been embroiled in another (yes another) controversy after allegedly hooking up with Lauren Hall‘s new MAFS hubby, Clint Rice. Grab a cup of Jarrah, ‘cos this one is a dOoOozy.

According to Daily Mail Australia, Jacqui (who’s been matched with Ryan Donnelly) has “already relocated to Tasmania” to be with fellow-MAFS-groom-turned-boo Clint Rice, who literally just got married to Lauren Hall this week on the show.
While this might be a happy ending for the bride who seems to be in tears in every episode the publication reported that the big dogs at MAFS are furious with the massive spoiler.
“Producers are furious. This completely ruins Clint and Lauren’s wedding episode,” a source told Daily Mail Australia before Clint and Lauren’s episode aired.
“Viewers haven’t even seen them get married yet, and now they already know Clint ends up with Jacqui.”
While there weren’t any hints of this couple swap — Duh! We were all focused on her texting Jeff Gobbels (Rhi Disljenkovic‘s MAFS hubby) behind her partner’s back — Jacqui and Clint have left subtle clues of their relationship via pre-reality TV Instagram snaps.
In an Instagram post, shared on December 16, 2024, Jacqui is seen posing in front of a lush bar with the caption, “Hi, I’m Jacqui! Next chapters for the plot!”
Well, it turns out that bar is not just a bar. It’s Clint’s bar, which he has previously showcased in a pre-MAFS IG post!
In another cheeky post, from Clint’s dog’s Instagram account, Jaqui can be seen in the reflection of his lounge room’s TV. Talk about high definition, amirite?
On top of all this juicy, juicy tea, Jacqui revealed that she was no longer with Ryan and was now in a long-term relationship post-MAFS in a rogue Instagram Story.
“I love all dogs, am deeply insecure (hence why I need constant compliments, but hey don’t we all deserve that?), I am ready to settle down to have babies (4-5 kiddos) AND I am currently in a relationship with a person who was exactly what I asked for,” Jacqui penned.
“Sometimes miracles happen because today I am in fact happy and in a loving long-term relationship.”
On the flip side, an insider claimed that Jacqui and Clint are happy together, which I guess is what she deserves following her tumultuous time on the show.
“Jacqui and Clint have a natural chemistry. She’s empathetic, a great communicator, and driven – Clint is exactly the same,” the source dished to Daily Mail Australia.
“They share so many common interests – tennis, wineries, documentaries, even their love for dumplings. They’ve barely spent a night apart since filming wrapped.”
However, Jacqui’s on-screen hubby Ryan was reportedly “blindsided” at the reunion, where the pair reportedly arrived to the dinner party in an Ellie Dix and Jono McCullough style. However, Lauren was reportedly happy for Clint, despite failing to find love on MAFS for a second time.
“Ryan had no idea. He heard rumours, but seeing it unfold like this left him feeling betrayed,” the insider added.
“He considered Clint a mate—now he feels like they both lied to his face.”
Oh me. Oh my. MAFS 2025 truly delivered when it came to love, drama and off-screen tea!
