Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 has just gotten messier, and it’s not because of the intruders. It’s actually because of — you guessed it — Jacqueline ‘Jacqui’ Burfoot and her attempts at connecting with Rhi Disljenkovic‘s husband, Jeff Gobbels.

Boy oh boy. While you’d think that Adrian Araouzou and Sierah Swepstone‘s emotional connection would be the talk of the town, you thought wrong.
Controversial bride Jacqui — who’s unfortunately matched with Ryan Donnelly — has somehow managed to become the centre of drama on Monday night’s episode after Rhi confronted her about a message she sent to Jeff.
After a brutal morning right off the heels of Sunday night’s commitment ceremony — where someone allegedly farted — Jacqui and Ryan got into an argument about all the shit he does wrong in their relationship.
Shortly after their argument, Jacqui sent a message to Jeff (Rhi’s MAFS husband and IRL ex) asking to meet up for a chat, without Rhi.
Jeff immediately told Rhi about the text and shared the detail where Jacqui said she didn’t want Rhi to come along for the link-up, which set Rhi off.
Ahead of the intruders’ wedding (OH YEAH! It’s intruders week), Rhi and Jeff discussed whether they should confront Jacqui about the unsolicited message, reflecting on how Jeff and Jacqui aren’t even close.
When Rhi asked Jeff when she should confront her, the Neighbours actor encouraged his wife to do it when she felt like it — hinting at a possible blowup at the intruders’, Beth Kelly and Teejay Halkias, nuptials.
“The right time is when you feel it,” Jeff assured her. “If you feel it and you wanna say it, just say it.”
Fast forward to the reception, Ryan revealed to the other couples that Jacqui leaned over to him during Beth and Teejay’s vows to give him a “mini lecture” about their marital issues.
“I’m disgusted with you,” Ryan spouts to Jacqui, who appears seemingly shocked by her husband’s outrage.
Following Ryan’s initial call out, the self-proclaimed warrior groom told the group about their morning argument where Jacqui mentioned all the bad shit he’s done since they’ve gotten hitched on MAFS.
In response, Jacqui began quizzing Ryan, asking why she was crying in the morning during their argument, only to reveal that she was crying because he dropped her during their MAFS wedding — which happened roughly a month ago, according to one of the brides.
At this point, the wedding reception is beginning to look like a darn DINNER PARTY.
Following that head fuck, Jeff asked Jacqui if she thinks their relationship is “done”, to which Ryan revealed he didn’t like her anymore. However, Jacqui claimed that she still liked him.
But as Jacqui tried to convince her castmates that Ryan is “her partner” and that they’re gonna work things out, Rhi decided to confront her then and there.
“Jacqui, if you like Ryan so much why would you message Jeff behind my back?” Rhi asked, leading to the start of Jacqui’s wedding meltdown.
Immediately, the other participants expressed their disgust and anger with Jacqui’s shady moves. When Billy Belcher stated that Jacqui went “behind [Rhi’s] back”, Jacqui said “it wasn’t behind her back” sending everyone into confusion.
“She texted Jeff and said she didn’t want me there,” Rhi explained.
Now, bare with me ‘cos there’s gonna be a lot of names thrown here and a lot of off-camera stuff we’re not seeing!!!
According to Jeff, Rhi and Billy, Jacqui shot Rhi a “disgusting” look, to which Jeff and Rhi told her to “not look at” them like that.
“She was giving her a death stare,” Billy shared in a voxxie.
After being confronted for her off-camera death glare, Jacqui began to cry and explain why she texted Jeff instead of one of her fellow brides.
“I reached out for support. It was that I wanted a man’s opinion,” Jacqui shared before Rhi chimed in, stating, “You can have a man’s opinion with me there.”
After Rhi unleashed on Jacqui, telling her the table she’s grateful she and Jeff are in a good spot in their relationship, Jamie Marinos did us all a favour and asked: “Why Jeff?”
In a voxxie, Ryan claimed that Jeff was her most “suitable match” on MAFS. Ryan then revealed that Jacqui asked him for Jeff’s number. AIYIYI.
“Guys, guys, can we just cut this down?” Jacqui pleaded to the group before Rhi totally ripped into her.
“Honestly Jacqui you deflected on everything and every single time things get hard you tell him to shush all the time,” Rhi shared.
After the table all decided to go off at Jacqui for not taking accountability, the controversial bride left the table and approached Beth’s bridesmaids, to “know when to remove yourself from a situation”.
Following Beth and Teejay’s first dance — high key triggering for Jacqui since she can’t get over how Ryan dropped her at their MAFS wedding — the dramatic pair decided to have a chat in front of the wedding care.
Immediately, Jacqui began to cry after Ryan described her text to Jeff as a “betrayal”.
“This is not a betrayal, Ryan” she cried, catching the attention of Beth’s wedding party.
After a few sob-fuelled words, Jacqui hugged Ryan, asking him to give her a “fucking cuddle”.
“You just have to hug me and say ‘I’m here for you,'” she sobbed as she awkwardly cuddled him… LOL.
It’s giving that one couple who ALWAYS FIGHTS during parties or social gatherings.
“Dinner at a show, babe,” Beth shared as she and new MAFS hubby Teejay tucked into their wedding dinner.
Thankfully, as Jacqui’s sobs began to get louder, icon of my life for MAFS 2025 Awhina Rutene swept her away, reminding her “It’s not her wedding”.
After Awhina attempted to mediate her and Ryan’s debacle, reminding her that “this is someone else’s wedding” and that the new couple are “meant to see how great this can be”, Jacqui randomly collects herself and said, “You’re right, I agree, let’s go” before returning to the wedding.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. I’M SORRY. I hate to admit it but I’ve definitely had this conversation with myself at the work loo or the club toilet LOL.
