MAFS Couples Left ‘Pretty Disappointed’ After They Missed Out On A Chat At The Reunion Final

While the Married At First Sight (MAFS) Reunion Final gave us an opportunity to see Paul Antoine get one more grilling before he left our TV screens for good, it was apparent that most of the 2025 participants were robbed of their ouch couch moment.

And just like us viewers, one of the brides has revealed that some couples have been left “disappointed” by the snub.

ICYMI, MAFS 2025 has officially come to a close with the Reunion Final airing on Monday night.

While most of the 2025 participants returned for the final hoorah — except Lauren Hall, Tim Gromie, Jake Luik and Morena Farina — it was only the couples who made it to Final Vows who got a chat with the experts.

For the folks who didn’t tune in, the final ouch couch sesh gave the participants an opportunity to look back on their MAFS journeys and dish out on their progress since appearing in the experiment.

However, a majority of our participants and the returning cast were left without that exciting throwback segment.

This included Beth Kelly, Teejay Halkias, Veronica Cloherty, Eliot Donovan, Billy Belcher, Sierah Swepstone, Tony Mojanovski, Ashleigh Ackerman and Katie Johnstone.

As a viewer, I definitely thought that their segments were cut out from the final edit for time reasons. However, according to Awhina Rutene, it turns out that the experts didn’t talk to them at all, leaving some of the couples “pretty disappointed”.

“I thought everyone would get their chance on this couch, but it was only the people who went to the final round,” Awhina dished to PEDESTRIAN.TV.

“I know some couples were pretty disappointed. I think they really wanted to watch their playback. And we all gave up a lot to be there, and it would have been nice to have just seen or had some sort of validation.”

The Perth-based bride revealed that Beth was really keen on seeing her journey with Teejay — after all, the Queensland duo technically made it to Final Vows, but didn’t have a ceremony as they broke up on the day Final Vows happened.

“I know Beth was sad she never got to watch her relationship play out. It wasn’t just for the low moments. Think a lot of us wanted to see some of those good moments, especially if we were there for a few weeks,” Awhina added.

While I understand why producers and the experts decided to speak only to those who made it to Final Vows, I would’ve loved to learn about everyone else.

As Jamie Marinos declared, “I am a nosey binch”, and I am dying to know what happened to Katie and Ash after their grooms ran away from the show!

That being said, with MAFS being over for 2025, I’m sure these baddies have the power to jump on social media to spill the tea.

And I will be there… with a LARGE CUP TO CATCH IT ALL.
