MAFS’ Clint Rice Claims He & Lauren Hall Tried To Escape The Couples Retreat By Helicopter

Married At First Sight (MAFS) intruder groom Clint Rice has revealed that he and his on-screen bride Lauren Hall attempted to leave this week’s Couples Retreat via a helicopter. Boujee and dramatic, I’m here for it.

This article contains Married At First Sight spoilers. It’s up to you if you wanna stay or leave.

As they say every MAFS season, new week, new drama and this time around, it appears that intruder couple Clint and Lauren are in the midst of all things explosive.

On Sunday, a MAFS insider claimed that Lauren will be bringing in a wave of controversy during this season’s Couples Retreat after refusing to socialise with “boganic” brides like fan-favourite Jamie Marinos and Awhina Rutene.

Following that super juicy tea spill, Clint admitted that he and his on-screen wife would be involved in a “series of explosive fights” with their fellow brides and grooms, revealing that they could no longer tolerate their MAFS peers.

“We couldn’t stand being around these people anymore,” the pro-golfer told Daily Mail Australia.

“The fights were non-stop, and a lot of them were just for show. It was unbearable.”

During his mammoth gossip spill, the 44-year-old businessman revealed that things reached boiling point when he admitted to talking shit behind his co-stars’ backs. However, he insists they “deserved it”. SPICY.

“I expressed my feelings to Lauren in private, but somehow everyone found out,” he shared.

“The funny thing is, at the reunion, a lot of them told me they actually agreed with what I said, but they wouldn’t dare say it on camera.”

The 2025 intruder groom added that specific members of the cast were “playing it up for the camera” for airtime before taking aim at controversial warrior groom Ryan Donnelly for his behaviour on the show.

“Ryan acted like a little queen sometimes, just for screen time. It was exhausting,” he spouted.

Furthermore in his chat, Clint revealed that he and Lauren were so desperate to leave this week’s Couples Retreat, that they tried to catch a choppa out.

“We were done,” he told the publication.

“We even looked into getting a helicopter to take us out of there. That’s how badly we wanted to leave.”

He then revealed that he and Lauren skipped this week’s dinner party and negotiated with producers to have their own little private moment.

“We told them, ‘We’ll do dinner, but we’re not doing that,'” Clint spilled after labelling the iconic MAFS dinner parties as “an absolute circus”.

“So they set up cameras in our apartment instead.”

Oh me, oh my. This whole season has just been drama after drama. Runaway after runaway.

As much as I am an advocate for removing yourself from a toxic situation, I am truly questioning why Lauren decided to come back to the experiment if she hated everyone so much!!

To give you a quick recap, Lauren was an original 2025 bride. However, her journey on the show was cut short after her at the time groom Eliot Donovan left the experiment because Lauren didn’t fit his non-negotiables.

Both Lauren and Eliot were given a second chance at finding MAFS love by re-entering the experiment as intruders.

That being said, Lauren and Clint’s little runaway couple moment honestly kinda sucks because that spot could’ve been given to Katie Johnstone who truly deserves a real shot at LOVE!

However, we will be tuned in for the tea… fingers crossed they got that choppa outta there because that is dramatic AF.

Married At First Sight returns tonight on Channel Nine and 9Now.
