Married At First Sight (MAFS) fans went absolutely bonkers last night when controversial bride Jacqui Burfoot and intruder groom Clint Rice capped off their recoupling with a genuine marriage proposal at a viewing party of the MAFS reunion.
To celebrate the final episodes of an absolutely bananas MAFS season, So Dramatic!‘s Megan Pustetto hosted a viewing party. Of course, Clint and Jacqui were in attendance, along with Billy Belcher, Dave Hand and 2023 bride Lauren Dunn.
After some heartfelt speeches, Clint got down on one knee.
“We signed for Married At First Sight to get married… So, I’ve got one question for you,” he said, asking Jacqui to marry him.

Now, still vibing from the ultimate high of the engagement, the happy couple have dished how they first got together, the dirt behind the big decision and shared how stoked they are to take the next steps in their relationship.
“I’m in shock, honestly, it happened so quickly! I feel so lucky. I’m madly in love with Clint, and I’m so excited. I’m beyond happy,” Jacqui told The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.
For many viewers, their recoupling after MAFS finished shooting was a bit of a shock, but they say it just felt natural.
“When I left the experiment, I messaged a few of the cast to thank them for their time on the show and said if you’re ever down in Tassie, let’s catch up,” Clint said.
“A few weeks later, we started bonding over our experience in the show. It wasn’t until after final vows that I said to Jacqui, ‘Why don’t you come down and hang out to see if there’s something?’ We could tell there was a spark between us.”
Eventually, by mid-November, they started officially dating.
“I’ve been to New Zealand and met all Jacqui’s family, and Jacqui’s met all my family in Tassie,” Clint continued.
“We’re with each other 24/7, literally, we are together every day, all day. We hang out and work together.”

As for whether they’ve started planning the wedding? Well, they say they’ve got one thing locked in.
“Morena will be DJing our wedding!” Jacqui quipped, with Clint noting that Dave and Billy would likely cop an invite.
Shortly after the exciting engagement news did the rounds, Jacqui’s on-screen MAFS partner Ryan Donnelly was filmed at another viewing party with a scathing statement for the betrothed couple.
“I just want to say cheers to the happy couple,” Ryan began, per Daily Mail Australia.
“It was completely candid and unplanned, not a publicity stunt, I’m so happy.”
Speaking to The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick, Jacqui said she wasn’t surprised by Ryan’s mocking statement.
“Ryan doesn’t take anything I do well. Nothing I do is good enough for him,” she said.
“He’s always got something negative to say, he can’t just move on. He’ll be like, ‘she’s cheating… it’s fake… it’s a publicity stunt’, I’ll have a kid and he’ll say that’s for publicity too!”

While Jacqui is now blissfully with Clint, her relationship with her on-screen husband Ryan has reached new lows.
After a particularly bonkers final vow breakup, the pair have been squabbling on social media. And, just last week, they both took legal action against each other due to posts made on social media.
Ouchie mama.
