MAFS Cast Pissed That Some Contestants Were Reportedly Offered Extra Cash & ‘Good Edits’

The Married At First Sight (MAFS) reunion is right around the corner, and according to all the sneaky little insiders floating around, it’s bound to be a doozy.

After all, for the MAFS season to end with a bang, we need a juicy reunion with all the season’s biggest, most outspoken stars. However, according to insider sources, some drama has broken out over some MAFS stars reportedly being offered extra cashola to appear in the final episodes of the season.

According to Daily Mail Australia, it was difficult for production to entice all of the big characters of the season to return for the reunion.

“Several participants were left fuming after learning that certain cast members were reportedly offered extra money to return for the reunion,” insider Ali Daher claims.

“Some were even guaranteed ‘good edits’ in exchange for staying longer on the show.”

What happens at the MAFS 2025 reunion?

Despite the rumoured generous offers from the big dogs behind the scenes, there were still some cast members who refused to attend the event.

“Several cast members, including Lauren Hall, Morena Farina, Tim Gromie and Jake Luik, refused to show up to film the reunion dinner party, forcing producers to offer cash incentives to get some of the others to appear,” Daily Mail Australia claimed.

Notably, the cast who reportedly refused to appear at the reunion didn’t have the most favourable run on the show.

Tim left the show shortly after he rejected his on-screen bride Katie Johnstone, sparking quite a bit of outrage with MAFS fans.

Fans were also left reeling when fellow groom Jake made some disparaging comments about the women in the experiment during the infamous ranking challenge.

Meanwhile, Morena left the experiment on some negative terms. Not only did things not work out with her on-screen groomTony Mojanovski, but she claimed that she had an awful time during filming and alleged that production altered her scenes using AI.

Lauren Hall also left the show to mixed reviews. Some fans liked her no-nonsense attitude while others thought she was quite rude towards the other contestants.

Regardless of their image on the show, I think it’s fair to say 2025 MAFS wouldn’t have been the same without them and they’ll be missed at the reunion.

The MAFS reunion is set to air on Channel Nine and 9Now Sunday, April 6 at 7pm.
