Controversial Married At First Sight (MAFS) groom Adrian Araouzou has lifted the lid on the rumoured cheating scandal that’s set to rock this year’s cast.
We’re only two weeks into MAFS 2025 and we’ve had three runaway grooms, gross misogynistic comments and now, a cheating scandal.
About a week into the 12th season of MAFS, rumours of a cheating scandal between Adrian Araouzou (who’s been matched with Awhina Rutene) and Sierah Sweptsone (who’s been matched with Billy Belcher) began to circulate.
While at the time there wasn’t any evidence of the rumoured scandal, Wednesday night’s episode teased the upcoming twist when Adrian sat next to Sierah after arguing with Awhina over their relationship woes.
You see, the upcoming scandal was teased via various under-the-table shots where Sierah and Adrian were seemingly caught playing footsies under the dinner table as they enjoyed each other’s company at the dinner party.
‘Twas a little bit flirty, a little bit cheeky, IMO, but I think the dramatic reality TV music just makes it worse.
Following Wednesday night’s episode, the controversial groom immediately shut down any rumours of infidelity, telling Daily Mail Australia, “If bumping feet under a crowded dinner table is cheating, then half the cast must be guilty.”
“If that is cheating, then I also cheated with Jeff [Gobbles], Rhi [Disljenkovic], and everyone else at the dinner party because we were all sitting close together.”
Is there a cheating scandal on Married At First Sight 2025?
According to Daily Mail Australia, the rumoured cheating scandal between Adrian and Sierah kicked off during the cast’s first weekend in Sydney.
During a night out, the pair reportedly “formed an unexpected bond” which then led to the pair returning to Sierah’s apartment where they spent all night getting to know each other without their MAFS partners present.
Following their intimate chat, it was reported that Adrian and Sierah went out on a dinner date without their MAFS partner’s knowledge.
Speaking to the publication, Adrian admitted to the secret rendezvous and acknowledged that he should’ve invited Awhina. However, he claimed he was fighting with his MAFS missus when the dinner date occurred.
“I completely understand why she was upset. In hindsight, I should have invited her as well,” he added.
However, what was really interesting in Adrian’s little tea spill is that it appears he has some really strong opinions about Sierah’s MAFS hubby, Billy.
According to the foodie content-creator groom, Billy “has been acting like a snake” and that his “truth is finally coming out”. TEA.
“He disrespected Sierah at every turn and the way he treated her was disgusting. I’m not going to sit back and let that slide,” Adrian told the publication.
“We all saw the warning signs. He played this game from the start, acting like the good guy, but behind closed doors, he was completely different. The reunion is going to be explosive when all of this is aired out properly.
“Sierah deserved way better. The way he gaslit her and made her second-guess herself was just toxic.”
FKN yikes. Look, like with all reality TV gossip, please take it with a grain of salt, but with that being said, it appears that all the 2025 grooms are flops.
Well, except Dave Hand. BUT we’ll have to wait and see.
