Madonna wants Celebration tour to be 'biggest ever' despite terrifying health scare

Madonna will want the new dates for her Celebration tour to be 'bigger and better than ever' after she was forced to cancel shows due her recent health scares, an industry expert has claimed.

The 64-year-old legend was forced to postpone her tour, which was due to start this month, after she was rushed to hospital after suffering from a "serious bacterial infection."

She was found "unresponsive" by family members, who were said to be "preparing for the worst," and was said to have been injected with the drug Narcan to combat her life-threatening septic shock.

Madonna shared an update on her health, breaking her silence for the first time since returning home from hospital, revealing the new dates for her tour.

"I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour, I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone," she admitted. "My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I'll be back with you as soon as I can!"

"The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn't be more grateful for your care and support. Love, M," Madonna concluded.

Crisis communications specialist Andy Barr has praised the vogue singer's "spot-on approach" to dealing with her health concerns and updating fans about the tour.

Speaking to The Mirror, he said: “Madonna is one of the hardest working and most loved global celebrities and I think she will have seen the outpouring of concern she got from her super-fans and wanted to reassure them, and the rest of the world, that she is back and firing on all cylinders.

"She will want the new tour to be bigger and better than anything she has done before in order to keep her existing fans happy whilst also trying to win over a new generation of super-fans. Her PR approach to dealing with her health-concerns have been spot-on and she has once again proven that you write her off at your peril."
