Madonna's 12-year-old twin daughters, Stella and Estere, recently celebrated their bat mitzvah surrounded by family and friends. The iconic singer shared photos of the girls leading services at their synagogue, reading from a siddur and chanting prayers from the congregation. Madonna's 18-year-old son, David Banda, also participated in the service, lifting the Torah over his head while wearing a tallit.
For the occasion, Madonna wore a floral gown, while Stella and Estere donned '90s-style sundresses. Following the ritual, the twins posed next to a cake with red and yellow candles. Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, was present for the celebration.
Madonna adopted Stella and Estere from Malawi in 2017 when they were five years old. She also adopted David and her daughter Mercy from Malawi in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Additionally, Madonna shares children Lourdes and Rocco with her ex-partners.
Madonna is known for her interest in Kabbalah, the practice of Jewish mysticism. She and David have matching tattoos of the Kabbalah Tree of Life, and Madonna has a Hebrew tattoo on her wrist.
