Madonna's other jobs before fame: Nude model, drummer and Dunkin' Donuts

Madonna hasn't always been a global mega star – she's actually done some pretty 'normal' jobs in her time on planet earth.

In the 1970s, Madonna was quite a way off achieving her wildest dreams as a dancer.

Living in New York as a young woman was tough, and making money was even tougher, meaning she took on some peculiar jobs – including posing nude.

She ended up posing without her clothes on for art classes taught by photographer Martin Schreiber, who later sold the images to Playboy magazine.

Before shooting to fame and after her nude modelling stint, Madonna worked at Dunkin' Donuts in Time Square, New York City.

But her donut serving stint didn't last long because she was quite a mischievous employee by all accounts.

Trying to make it as a dancer, Madonna, who is now 61, wasn't very invested in her job at Dunkin' Donuts and ended up getting fired.

Shooting the jam from the donuts at customers, the now-global-songstress didn't have a way with people back then and her antics meant she lost her job.

While trying to get her name known in the 80s, she joined a rock band – The Breakfast Club, which comprised of her then-beau Dan Gilroy and his brother.

Something that might surprise you though is the fact that she didn't sing – she actually started out on the drums and playing guitar.

Quitting the band to go her own way, she set up a group of her own called Emmy and the Emmys – a pop-punk band that did gigs in the heart of Manhattan.

The star of the band this time was Madonna – something that likely gave her a real taste of the fame she'd later achieve.

Emmy and the Emmys produced their own demo tape in the 80s which featured four tracks in total: Bells Ringing, Drowning, (I Like) Love For Tender and No Time For Love.

She then went on to kickstart her solo career, which is often dubbed as the Pre-Madonna phase – before she became the star we all know and love today.

The material she produced during this period is a collection of demos written and recorded by Madonna in the early 80s.

Some of the songs she wrote during this era of her life and career were: Ain't No Big Deal, Crimes Of Passion, Don't You Know, Laugh To Keep From Crying, Everybody, Burning Up and Stay.
