Madonna has 'no trouble walking' after being 'placed on ventilator' amid health scare

Madonna has been spotted in public for the first time since she was rushed to hospital with a serious bacterial infection.

The 64-year-old was reportedly found unresponsive in her home just two weeks ago and is said to have been injected with the drug Narcan to combat her life-threatening septic shock.

Madonna was then rushed to an intensive care unit where she was hooked up to a ventilator and intubated so a breathing tube was passed down her throat and into her lungs. She has since been recovering at her New York City home.

The Queen of Pop has now been spotted by a fan enjoying a stroll with a friend in her Upper East Side neighbourhood.

In a video shared on TikTok, Madonna was seen wearing a pair of oversized sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat.

She went for a casual outfit and wore navy shorts with a matching top. The singer also wore a pair of Nike trainers and leant against the lamppost as she waited to cross the street.

Over the top of the video, the TikTok user said: "Guess who we saw out and about today looking great," adding Madonna's hit song Lucky Star over the top.

Fans were overjoyed to see the singer out in public, with one person writing: "This brought so much light to us her fans - thank you for sharing!"

Another said: "I'm so happy she’s out of the ICU," while a third fan commented: "Thank you so much for sharing!!!! Fans were worried for weeks!!!!"

A source told Page Six Madonna seemed "happy" during her outing as she chatted with a friend.

They added: "She seemed to have no trouble walking, though seemed to be taking her time."

Just two weeks ago, Madonna's manager Guy Oseary shared her health scare with fans and announced she would be postponing her world tour.

On Instagram, he wrote: "On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU."

Guy continued: "Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
