Medics with the Madison, Wisconsin, Police Department were engaged in training nearby when they swiftly responded to a school shooting incident on Monday, as stated by Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes. Chief Barnes highlighted that the medics promptly departed from the training center to reach the scene, effectively putting into practice the skills they had been honing.
The training center is situated approximately three miles away from Abundant Life Christian School, where the tragic event unfolded. Chief Barnes revealed that following the shooting, at least seven individuals were transported to the hospital after receiving critical life-saving interventions from the first responders.
