Madhya Pradesh’s GDP likely to exceed Rs 10 lakh crore this year: Governor

BHOPAL/INDORE: On the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, governor Mangubhai Patel unfurled the National Flag at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hoisted the Tricolour in Indore on Wednesday.

Speaking at Lal Parade Ground, the governor said that ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ are the basic mantras of the government and urged the people to take a pledge to make MP a self-reliant, prosperous and developed state.

The governor also inspected the parade which was followed by a marchpast under the leadership of Parade Commander Priyanka Shukla.

Hawk Force, STF, Madhya Pradesh Special Armed Forces-1 and 2, Madhya Pradesh Mahila Police, District Police Force, Jail Department, Chhattisgarh Platoon, Madhya Pradesh Home Guard, Mixed Platoon, Senior Division NCC, Army Wing Girls, NCC Army Wing Boys, Police Bands and squads of dog squads participated in the parade.

At the state-level function in Bhopal, governor Patel said that this year the state's Gross Domestic Product is likely to exceed Rs 10 lakh crore, which will be a new chapter in the history of the state. Patel said that the state is first in the country in the implementation of Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme.

Patel said that in 2021, collection remuneration of Rs 415 crore and bonus amount of Rs 191 crore has been paid by including tendu patta collectors in Sambal Yojana. He said the government has decided to celebrate Vimukt Jati Diwas on August 31 every year and Chhindwara University has been renamed as Raja Shankarshah University.

Celebration at High Court

A function was organised at High Court on Wednesday in which Judge of Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court national flag. Justice Subodh Abhyankar, Justice Anil Verma, and other were present on the occasion.

Flag hoisted at MPPSC office

Republic Day celebrations were also organized at Madhya Pradesh State Public Service Commission office premises. The flag was hoisted by Chairman of the Commission, Dr Rajesh Lal Mehra. On this occasion, several musical performances were presented and excellence awards given for meritorious work.
