INDORE: A special court in Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur on Monday sentenced a man to two life term imprisonments till last breath for allegedly raping and killing his four-year-old niece and a cumulative fine of Rs 7,000.
The incident took place in March, 2022 in a village in Mandsaur under YD Nagar police station. The court awarded simultaneous imprisonments in different sections of IPC for kidnapping, murder, rape, and POCSO act.
The court awarded three years of imprisonment each under section 363, 366, life imprisonment till last breath each under 376(A), and 302, five years in 201, sections 5/6 of POCSO act. The court fined Rs 1000 each under every section imposed on the maternal uncle.
DPO, media cell incharge Deepak Jamra said that complainant on March 19 last year lodged a complaint with village chowkidar about missing of her four-year-old daughter from her maternal home.
The girl had gone to play with two others. The other two girls returned, the victim however hadn’t returned. The police in information from Chowkidar began investigation on matter, said Jamra.
The girl’s body was found naked nearby with head injury, teeth marks on face, and bleeding from private parts, Jamra said.
The body was sent to Mandsaur hospital through a tempo. The police informed that girl was brought dead. The YD Nagar police registered a case, Jamra said..
The police during investigation arrested the girl's maternal uncle, who accepted his crime and informed about raping her near overhead water tank, Jamra said.
The maternal uncle had thrown the girl's clothes in a nearby bushes. The police recovered it and collected other scientific evidences, Jamra said.
The court accepted the argument of prosecution convicting maternal uncle with two life term till last breath, Jamra said.
