The partner of Made in Chelsea star Louise Thompson has shared why she ended up in hospital after she told fans she had suffered an "unexpected health situation". Louise, 32, had told fans last week she had to return to hospital leading her and Ryan Libby to cancel their two-week holiday in St Lucia.
But Ryan, also 32, has since issued an update saying that Louise suffered a haemorrhage at home and was taken to the hospital for surgery. "2023 started well for me and my family,” the personal trainer wrote on his Instagram Story on Thursday evening (February 2). "Last Friday it got flipped on its head again. Louise haemorrhaged at home, again. Rushed to hospital for surgery and close monitoring for 4 days."
While things appear to have improved for Louise, the couple have been hit with more ill health with their one-year-old son, Leo. Ryan went on to share: "Louise is home now, stable and doing well. She’s a warrior! Leo has picked up impetigo from nursery. Dad is tired. We're supposed to be landing in St Lucia about now for a 2 week break. Back online soon."

Earlier this week, Louise shared a snap from her hospital bed as she thanked the NHS for "keeping the old ticker ticking", The mum-of-one penned: "I've been quiet on here recently because I had a bit of an unexpected situation again. Don't really know what to say right now, except a huge thanks to everyone that's kept the older ticker ticking.
"I feel like I've very much used up my quota of NHS services at this point. Eeek. I can't help but feel a bit guilty about it all. I guess the only message for today is to take NOTHING for granted. Oh and without sounding too dramatic, tell everyone that you love them RIGHT NOW."
While fiance Ryan confirmed she is now home, Louise took to Instagram herself on Wednesday to share how she kept "connected to reality" during her hospital stay. "When I was last in hospital for an extended period (felt like an eternity), I really detached from reality and couldn't even turn on a phone or concentrate on anything for longer than a minute," she shared.
"I've learnt a lot from that experience. TRY TO STAY CONNECTED AND CONTINUE AS NORMAL," she added. Louise has spent time in and out of hospital since the birth of her son in November 2021. Last month she paid tribute to the NHS nurses who looked after her while she was seriously unwell in hospital.
Louise was previously diagnosed with PTSD and has suffered numerous health issues since suffering complications while giving birth to her son, Leo-Hunter. She revealed in July that she had been readmitted to the hospital after doctors noted 'alarming blood test results', but was released shortly after.
She has also previously spoken out about her fears that she had suffered brain damage and had a 'form of dementia' after giving birth.
