Hot on the heels of Apple’s Far Out event, Google is also planning its own announcement: Made By Google.
Also, like Apple, we can expect several key announcements from this event: the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and the Google Pixel watch.
The next model of Google’s smartphone was first revealed to the public during the keynote at Google I/O in May 2022.
Perhaps most excitingly, the Google Pixel Watch is the first smartwatch both designed and built by Google. With a number of smartwatches already on the market from giants like Samsung and Apple, Google will need to hit the ground running in order to compete.
Here’s what you need to know about the Made By Google event, with just a couple of weeks to go.
What to expect from Made By Google
As well as the announcements noted above, Google will also reveal additions to the Nest smart-home portfolio.
We’re also expecting to get more information about the specs of Tensor, Google’s custom mobile chip, known for its personalisation options.
When it comes to the Pixel Watch, we’ll be wanting to see the new, made-for-purpose WearOS. The system is designed to work seamlessly with both Pixel and Android phones, as well as Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Buds A-Series wireless earbuds.
All of the devices will be shoppable the same day at GoogleStore.com or, if you’re in the New York city area, you can visit Google stores, to check them out in person.
When is the Made By Google event?
The Made by Google launch event will take place in the Williamsburg neighborhood of New York on October 6, at 10am Eastern time, or 3pm UK time.
How to watch Made By Google
While the in-person event is limited to invited members of the press, you will be able to tune in live from home in the UK, the US, and Australia via this link. Outside of these countries, the live stream will be available to watch here.
