Thursday brought us the latest batch of Madden NFL 23 ratings, with cornerbacks and interior defensive linemen getting their shine. As far as the former group goes for the Carolina Panthers, EA Sports developers recognized the wheels this franchise has assembled in its secondary.
The most potent set belongs to rookie Kalon Barnes—who registered not only the 2022 combine’s fastest 40-yard dash, but also the fastest time ever by a defensive back at 4.23 seconds. His 98 speed rating tops every single player in the game not named Tyreek Hill, Jameson Williams and Quez Watkins.
Joining the seventh-round pick in the 90+ speed club from that Carolina crop is Donte Jackson (95), Chris Westry (94), CJ Henderson (93), Jaycee Horn (92), Madre Harper (91) and Stantley Thomas-Oliver III (90). [EA Sports also included Troy Pride Jr. (92) despite having been waived back in May.]
