‘Madden 24’ ratings emphasize 49ers DE depth problem

The 49ers will enter the 2023 season with a little bit of a depth issue at defensive end.

There may not be a better indicator of what the team is dealing with at one of the most important positions on its roster than the launch ratings for “Madden NFL 24.”

Ratings for a video game are an inexact science, but the full ratings released for defensive ends ahead of the game’s launch illustrate San Francisco’s DE woes. It’s Nick Bosa, the highest-rated DE in the game, and then a mix of huge question marks.
