You might think you have high standards but has anyone ever accidentally stabbed themselves trying to impress you?

If you’re not Megan Fox, you probably can’t relate.

Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are one couple that somehow always manages to have a more shocking story about their relationship than the last one they told.

From the now-iconic “I am weed” dialogue to Fox’s VMA interview, the duo really does seem like a match made in heaven.

The latest tale about the early days in their relationship was shared by MGK while on the “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” and the lengths the singer will go for love are wild and honestly, kind of impressive?

While proudly sporting a shirt with the Transformers star’s face on it, Kelly prefaced his story to Fallon by saying: “This was also right when I was starting to date Megan. It was just a bad night.”

He began by explaining that Travis Barker had gifted him a knife engraved with the title of their 2020 album, “Tickets to My Downfall.”

"He got me a knife that had an engravement from the new album on it. I was like, 'Oh, check this out. This is sick.' I threw it up, and it came and stuck in my hand," Kelly said.

Once he threw the knife in the air, he shared that he looked over at Fox—anticipating her impressed reaction—instead of wisely keeping his eyes on the falling knife. So, as gravity goes, the knife landed directly in his hand, leaving Kelly with a prominent scar that he showed to Fallon to verify his story.

“That was from when a knife stuck in [it]. ‘Cause, you know how you throw it up and you’re supposed to catch it? I looked at [Fox], and I was like, ‘Check this out.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh!'”

Laughing MGK said he still tried to play it cool in front of Fox after getting stabbed.

“The next morning, as soon as she left, I was like, 'Yo, I need stitches real quick,’” the “My Ex’s Best Friend” singer concluded.

Looks like chivalry isn’t dead after all... maybe just a bit bloody.
