The internet was left guessing after Megan Fox made a cryptic Instagram post Sunday, which seemed to be about fiance Machine Gun Kelly cheating.
Now, amid speculation, MGK’s guitarist Sophie Lloyd is denying any involvement that would have led to Fox posting the Beyoncé lyrics “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath,” along with a video of an envelope being burned.
“Sophie Lloyd is a professional, accomplished musician who has been needlessly dragged into the media based off of meritless accusations made by social media,” her management team told US Weekly. “Any suggestion that she has ever acted in an unprofessional manner or stepped out of her relationship are untrue.”
The response came after a fan commented on Fox’s Instagram post, offering one explanation involving MGK: “He probably got with Sophie,” to which Fox then responded, “Maybe I got with Sophie.” But Fox’s entire Instagram account has since been deleted, reports The Cut.
Fox made the initial post before leaving a Super Bowl party she attended with MGK.
The couple was reported to no longer be on speaking terms after an argument at the event, which was so significant that Fox is also reportedly took off her engagement ring.
The couple had originally announced they were engaged back in 2020, after dating for a little under two years. The two actors met while filming the crime/thriller “Midnight in the Switchgrass.”
Sophie Lloyd entered the picture in 2022 when she joined MGK on his Mainstream Sellout Tour, as his accompanying guitarist.
“Touring with Machine Gun Kelly was amazing,” she said in an interview with NME in 2022. “It was like one big family, and I felt so comfortable and safe from the get go. I also love how he uses his music to tell a story and portray a message.”
