Machine Gun Kelly gave Megan Fox an engagement ring designed to hurt her if she ever took it off.
The rocker got down on one knee earlier this month, and popped the question to the Transformers star in a romantic proposal that culminated in the couple drinking each other’s blood to celebrate.
At the time, Kelly shared details of the stunning sparkler, which features two stones - an emerald and a diamond, meant to represent their birthstones.
The musician, real name Colson Baker, spoke about the ring he designed with jeweller Stephen Webster, and revealed it was designed with a macabre feature inspired by their intense relationship.
“It’s a thoroughbred Colombian emerald, with no treatment. It was just carved into the teardrop, straight out of the mine,” he told Vogue.
Explaining the concept of the ring, he said it actually comes apart to make two separate pieces of jewellery, as it’s connected by a magnet.
But Megan would be foolish to try and take it off, as it will cause her pain if she does.
“And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts,” Kelly shared, as he quipped: “Love is pain!”
After Megan announced their engagement with a sweet video on Instagram, Kelly shared details of the unique engagement ring alongside a video of the actress wearing it.
"I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two,” he wrote.
“The emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love,” Kelly added.
Megan, who was previously married to Brian Austin Green, said she and Kelly took a trip back to a place that held a lot of meaning for them, as the rocker got down on one knee and asked her to be his bride.
“In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma,” she cryptically wrote.
Megan alluded to a turbulent relationship, as she said they had “walked through hell together”, but was as devoted to him now as she was when they first began dating in 2020.
“And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes …and then we drank each other’s blood,” she added.
This is the first marriage for Kelly, but the second for Megan, who shares three children - Noah, 9, Bodhi, 7, and Journey, 5 - with ex Brian.
