A man has been rushed to hospital after he was seriously assaulted in a property in Glasgow this evening.
A heavy police presence remains at the scene on Royston Road, which is partly cordoned off.
Officers were alerted at around 5.45pm this evening to a report of a man injured in a property.
According to local reports, he was attacked with a machete.
Emergency services raced to the scene and the man has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
Police have confirmed that enquiries into the assault are "ongoing".
Royston Road is currently closed to traffic and a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.45pm on Monday, 25 April, 2022, officers were called to a report of a man having been seriously assaulted within a property in Royston Road, Glasgow.
"The man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for his injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
